Children's Book Festival 2017

We are looking for donations for children's books, book bags, and even financial donations for the children of Camden, New Jersey. Camden has been identified as an impoverished area with great resources in increasing the literacy among the children there. ADC Kid and I have been charged ourselves with creating an event to bring in local authors, where these authors: Talk to the children read to them, and potentially give out some of their books to the children with the right financial backing. Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting radio personality, Mina Saywhat, from Power 99 FM at the #ChooseCamden event. The event was amazing because it linked parents and students with various community resources in the form of children's literacy programs, an opportunity to choose a school to attend, fitness ventures, children's books, and much more.

Children's Book Festival

Recently, ADC Kid and Hampton Publishing House submitted information to Ferry Avenue Branch Library to implement a Children's Book Festival in Camden, New Jersey. The request was accepted. With this being said, we are working on preparing a program/ad booklet for the event.This would give people and businesses an opportunity to support the literacy movement of encouraging children to read and connecting children with authors of the books they read.

If you or your business is interested in being listed in the program/ad booklet, please reply to this email. 

Feel free to forward this information to other individuals who you think may also be interested in participating. All material included in the ad book will have to be child friendly material. Please refer the the flyer to your left.

Well the Fall edition of Otterbein Towers Magazine is out. Check me out on page 29. This is when I was reading to the students at the Children's Book Fun Shop put on by ADC Kid at Ferry Ave Branch Library.

All in Together Girls Children Book Fun Shop

This past Friday I participated in an event developed by ADC Kid and Ferry Ave Branch Library. The event was a Children Book Fun Shop for individuals between the ages of 5 to 12. The fun shop was amazing. ADCKid is a "company dedicated to the advancement of empowering and enlightening though literacy, fitness, and animation.

Much of the company's strategic focus was displayed at the fun shop. The kids danced, listened, sang, drew, and socialized. The program even had teenagers and adults participating in the event. The children were so full of life and had no worries.

It was a delight working with ADC Kid. Stay tuned for future events that I will be attending.
