CCFA Trenton's Read to Achieve Day

 

 Today marked the 3rd Annual Read to Achieve event that the Center for Child and Family Achievement has implemented. The event was very well organized. This was shown by the agenda, set locations that authors would go, and the different grades the authors would engage in reading. This was my second year attending the event, so I was very excited to read to the children again. I worked with children in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. These kids were so cute, especially when they tried to define curious, bewilderment, and special. I would not trade this day for any other day in time. These children were definitely set to achieve more.

Special thanks to the Center for Child and Family Achievement of Trenton and ADC Kid for extending a warm welcome to all of the authors in attending and participating in the event.  Some of the authors who will be featured in the Children's Book Festival 2017 were in attendance. Children's Book Festival 2016 (Camden, New Jersey)

Well guys,

It's almost that time. The Children's Book Festival of 2016 is almost here. +ADC Kid ™ and Hampton Publishing House, LLC (HamptonPublishingHouse.com) have been working hard acquiring the authors and #sponsors for the event. • There has been a major change in regard to the children's book festival and location of the festival. ADC Kid, Hampton Publishing House, LLC and I have been very busy recruiting authors, illustrators, sponsors, and partnerships for the event. We have also sent out press releases and had meetings with the City of Camden and even Parkside Learning Garden about PBCIP's Haddon Avenue Street Festival on Saturday, September 17, 2016. It was decided and accepted by us that the event should be held in collaboration with the street festival, which has over 500 attendees each year. There will be food vendors, a moon bounce, author readings, face painting, and more.

Children's Book Festival 2016

Interested in attending the first Children’s Book Festival in 2016 sponsored by ADC Kid and Hampton Publishing House, LLC? This event will be held at a library in the Camden County Library System (Ferry Avenue Branch Library) and Parkside Learning Garden (Haddon Avenue).

Registration for authors, illustrators, and sponsors started in November 2015. You have until May 31, 2016 to register as an author or sponsor. We are looking for 7 more authors to participate in the event, three of which will be featured authors. As a featured author, you would get a table, name badge, publicity on various social media websites, membership into the Social Exchange Group, information featured on a whole page of the ad/program booklet, included in newsletters for each company, and an opportunity to read your book to the children.

Children's Book Fun Shop on Page 29

Hey People!

Well the Fall edition of Otterbein Towers Magazine is out. Check me out on page 29. This is when I was reading to the students at the Children's Book Fun Shop put on by ADC Kid at Ferry Ave Branch Library.

All in Together Girls Children Book Fun Shop

This past Friday I participated in an event developed by ADC Kid and Ferry Ave Branch Library. The event was a Children Book Fun Shop for individuals between the ages of 5 to 12. The fun shop was amazing. ADCKid is a "company dedicated to the advancement of empowering and enlightening though literacy, fitness, and animation.

Much of the company's strategic focus was displayed at the fun shop. The kids danced, listened, sang, drew, and socialized. The program even had teenagers and adults participating in the event. The children were so full of life and had no worries.

It was a delight working with ADC Kid. Stay tuned for future events that I will be attending.
