I wish Rich continued success in his endeavors and thank him for being a part of this wonderful event for us to learn more about him.

Power of Broke anyone?

Today was the day. The day I had an opportunity to meet Daymond John from +Shark Tank at Books & Greetings in Northvale, New Jersey. Mr. John was very down-to-earth. He spoke to everyone, looked out for senior citizens and children, and took pictures with his fans. Definitely glad I had the opportunity to attend this event and buy another one of his books.

If you missed the book review I wrote on The Power of Broke, check it out here:

If you are an entrepreneur or looking to be successful, this book is one in which you should definitely read. Grab a book and check out his next book signing. Who knows? It may be at a bookstore near you.

Updated Information About the Children's Book Festival

  •

  • There has been a major change in regard to the children's book festival and location of the festival. ADC Kid, Hampton Publishing House, LLC and I have been very busy recruiting authors, illustrators, sponsors, and partnerships for the event. We have also sent out press releases and had meetings with the City of Camden and even Parkside Learning Garden about PBCIP's Haddon Avenue Street Festival on Saturday, September 17, 2016. It was decided and accepted by us that the event should be held in collaboration with the street festival, which has over 500 attendees each year. There will be food vendors, a moon bounce, author readings, face painting, and more.

We definitely could not pass up this great opportunity. Above you will find the updated flyer in regards to the children's book festival.

#ChooseCamden

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting radio personality, Mina Saywhat, from Power 99 FM at the #ChooseCamden event. The event was amazing because it linked parents and students with various community resources in the form of children's literacy programs, an opportunity to choose a school to attend, fitness ventures, children's books, and much more.

Thanks everyone who came to our table to learn all about the Children's Book Festival. Hope to see you there.

The Power of Broke by Daymond John

Last week, I had the pleasure of going to Barnes and Noble (YES!!!) and purchasing my copy of The #PowerofBroke by Daymond John. Every since I heard that he had written this book, I couldn't wait to grab a copy. The title of the book was right up my alley of what I usually read. This list consisting of titles such as Thrive by Arianna Huffington, Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill, and Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

So far, I am definitely impressed with his writing in regards to the special stories he shares about Gigi Butler, Christopher Gray, Rob Dyrdek, Acacia Brinley, and Steve Aoki. This definitely added a personal touch to the book.

Want to see the future review that I complete on the book? Check it out at Book Reviews by Melica Niccole.
