Verdict: Guilty, "Help! I Need Love", Was Just What The World Needed

The time leading up to and after the premier of Help! I Need Love was supercharged and a classic display of a community coming together to show the world what it really needed; Love. People of all different races, genders, and socioeconomic statues came together because it was evident that they felt something was missing in their lives. Whether the absence was love, an enjoyable show, or a display of realism, the internet went wild. The show was trending on Twitter as number three. People showed their love and support for the program on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and other places. Although there are current reality shows that address love and helping people find love, this show seemed to represent love at its truest form.

The portions about the show that I really loved were Paul's tips on flirting, the makeover, and him saying "Stay laser focused on the here and now." I also loved how Paul discussed potential things the woman looking for love should consider changing because it had made some of her dates uncomfortable. I am sure we all can relate to being our genuine selves and not realizing we were offending others with our comments or actions. Sometimes people do not realize those certain things about themselves until others bring it to light.

Kudos to Paul for bringing us into his world of matchmaking and what it takes to start and continue to process of finding love.

Check out tweets, videos, and photos below of people enjoying the show. Feel free to leave comments on your thoughts about the show.

Word Around Town Is, "Help! I Need Love", Is Just What the Doctor Ordered

Premiers this Saturday

You're two days away from the premier of Help! I Need Love, which is a show Executive Produced and Hosted by Paul C. Brunson. Word around town is this is a long awaited project that many people are rallying behind because of the topic and transition to a new type of reality TV.  This show will definitely open up dialogue and discussion among the viewers about relationships, love, single mothers, and the things that may or may not be hindering relationships from growing from a seed into a flower.

Some say "It's a doggy, dog world," or you "Deal with what you are given." It is evident that Paul holds no such truths to be evident and wishes to give single mothers a hand up. Don't just take my word for it, take the immense amount of community support Paul has been getting because of this soon approaching project. Below you will see some of the support and encouragement he has been given for producing such as program. Want to find more about the subject and what others are saying? Just search for the hashtag #INeedLove and see what everyone is talking about.

If you wish to watch the program on Saturday, please know that the show is listed as a 20/20 Program on ABC as identified here. Just go to the program at 10 PM EST and begin watching.

"Read to Achieve (R2A): Closing The Achievement Gap Book by Book

The beginning of June, I will take part in the Read to Achieve event for the second time.

Last year, I had the opportunity of reading my co-authored book All in Together Girls to a group of 4th and 5th graders. I absolutely loved the event. I met some very young and gifted students, who drew pictures of what I read in the book.

I am delighted I was asked to return this year. I am looking forward to reading to 80-90 students, taking pictures, and letting them illustrate information I read in the book.

9th Annual Next Level Conference

On Monday, May 1, 2017 I was given the opportunity to attend the 9th Annual Next Level Conference developed by Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL). I was able to attend the conference due to the generosity of Newark Arts Council. This was an opportunity of a life time because of influential people like Melinda Emerson (Small Biz Lady), Twyla Garrett, Darryl Bumpass Sr., Dawn W. Brolin, and many more. I also met professional business women who had businesses dealing with fragrances, legos, laundry, schools, real estate and more. I was ecstatic to see Joy Lindsay, CEO of Butterfly Dreamz, who I met about a year ago through a Children's Festival I implemented with another company. There were a lot of goal-driven individuals in the audience ready to give and receive knowledge.

By the end of the event, I had made at least 11 new contacts, four of which were the speakers from the event. I was so charged and ready to increase my contacts and revenue stream. From all the tweeting, facebooking, and instragraming, I was truly surprised today. Today, I viewed Mr. Bumpass Sr's Instagram page where he had reposted a pic of myself and the new business-minded women I met at the event. I am truly appreciative and thankful for opportunities like these.

Yonkers Specialist Needs Fair

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending The Yonkers Special Needs Fair, which was developed by The Autism Project, FLOS. It was truly an amazing event and should have been attended by every special needs professional, family member, support system, individuals with special needs, and just the whole community. The event was very well put together from the assigned tables, interviews, and food provided to the attendees. I made new connections, met New York State Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer, and sold a few books. Definitely an event to attend next year.

Feel free to check out pics below regarding the event:
