Sisters of the Shield
This is it. The book that will keep you chanting at the plot, embracing the sisterhood, and trying to figure out who's really the baddest divas to grace Calton State University.
Sisters of the Shield is a book about being in a sisterhood and all the things that occur when they try to hang with the bruhs, stroll with the best, and protect their reps. Makela Johnson, a sophomore at CSU in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, returns on the yard to get the full experience of belonging to The Sisters of the Shield. The sisters are known for being the baddest divas to run the yard with precision, grace, and style. Well, that's what they think. They are sexy, smart, and have that hands-off rarity that makes men want them even more.
Can the sisters keep their men, keep the other sisterhoods in check, while winning the stroll and stepping competitions? Find out by reading this new novel on Amazon.com. Book cover being updated soon.

Goodbye Ohio. Hello New Jersey!
Well, it's official!
Last month, I went from being a resident of The great Buckeye State to the promising Garden State in a matter of eight hours. That was approximately how long it took me to travel from Ohio to New Jersey. What some look at s big drastic change, I look at as a change for better opportunities. It is time for me to continue pushing toward my dream of becoming a great writer and experience things unbeknownst to a little southern gal from Columbus, Ohio. Ohio definitely assisted with my growth and development as a writer. Now its time to perfect my craft in New Jersey and see if I have what it takes to soar like a bird.
Farewell sweet Ohio. Until we meet again. I will be in living life to the fullest in New Jesey.
Muah!

"Ohio, Florida tops among 8 critical swing states" by Joe Hallett
Good morning Ohioans, Floridans, and other states and countries within the world. This morning, I read an article in The Columbus Dispatch, "Ohio, Florida tops amongs 8 critical swing states." As an Ohioan, I was definitely interested in reading what the paper had to say, especially after watching the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The article in the dispatch outlined the swing states as: Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia, and New Hampshire. The paper also reported, "Some analyses also include North Carolina as a swing state, which Obama won by 14,000 votes to become the first Democrat to carry that state since 1976, but which polls now show leaning to Romney." There is a race toward the presidency to win 270 Electoral College votes and neither candidate is backing down from the challenge. The toss up states will definitely make history in helping either candidate win the race.

International Urban Book Festival in May
My first question I would like to ask you is, "are attending the International Urban Book Festival in May?" I hope your answer is yes! This festival will allow you to network with authors, promote your books, and encourage others. Last year, I attended a similar event in Michigan. I was excited because I met other authors, made new contacts, and I had the opportunity to spend time with my niece. This year, I plan to bring the same excitement with me to Cleveland that I brought to Michigan. The event will probably feel a little more special than last year because my birthday occurs on Saturday, May 12th. I would love for you to spend the 12th with me as I take on a new journey, which reads "mile marker 30." That's right guys! I'm entering the 30 and over club. I'm looking forward to new experiences, great conversations, and a new approach to things. Share this joy with me on the 11th, 12th, and 13th.
Hope to see you there!

"Gift Givers"
Individuals in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas have truly given the gift of literacy by donating books to Better World Books through the “A Better Community through Literacy Book Drive.” The book drive was developed with the intent to raise 100 books by January 31, 2012. Well guys, we are very close to reaching our goal. We currently have 56 books and hope to acquire 44 more books by the 31st of January.
Can you help us reach our goal? These individuals helped and are waiting for you to be added to the list of contributors. They are also waiting for your creative picture to be added among them, to show the community what giving truly looks like.

Poetic Outlets Sold at The Book Loft of German Village
Hello everyone. I have great news for those individuals that would like to purchase a copy of Poetic Outlets. Books are now sold at The Book Loft of German Village in Columbus, Ohio. You will truly be amazed in entering The Book Loft because there are books everywhere. It is like going through a maze of books and trying to find your way out; however stopping along the journey to admire or pick up a book of your liking. In visiting the The Book Loft, make sure you take enough money to buy a couple of books because I assure you that you will not just leave with one book.
Poetic Outlets is a book of poetry that shows my transition in writing from when I first started to my current writing style. The book will allow you to experience and release all types of emotions, as issues of love, depression, society, and attributes of a woman are discussed. I wrote Poetic Outlets because I love talking about real life situations that engage the reader, while pulling them emotionally into the subject matter. I want readers to experience the extent of each word on the page and be able to identify with that feeling. People have a right to read material that encourages them and provides insight to domestic matters.
So let me take you on a journey into my world by reading my book; Poetic Outlets. You will be glad you did.
